Anthony Lacenere is Co-Founder and CEO of Standard Issue Wetsuits, a leading manufacturer focused exclusively on serving the needs of the ocean rescue community.

With a deep-rooted passion for ocean safety, Anthony is committed to equipping ocean rescue personnel with the equipment needed to protect coastal communities.

Prior to founding Standard Issue, Anthony played college football at The Johns Hopkins University and successfully launched a global software company that utilized his degree in Behavioral Economics to eliminate over 8 million metric tons of worldwide vehicular emissions.

These experiences have instilled in Anthony a strong work ethic, a focus on results, and a dedication to making a positive impact. Anthony says, “Doing the right thing never comes easy.”

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anthony serves as a Commissioner for the Environment at the City of Capitola, CA, is a devoted family man and a lifelong surfer. This personal connection to the ocean fuels Anthony's commitment to providing the rescue community with the highest quality products and services.

Jack Akrop is Co-Founder and the Chief of Standards and Innovation at Standard Issue Wetsuits, a leading manufacturer focused exclusively on serving the needs of the ocean rescue community.

Jack grew up in the notorious East Side of Santa Cruz, CA, where he witnessed countless rescues and the impacts they had on the families involved. These experiences led Jack into a life of service.

Jack currently serves as a seasonal California State Parks Lifeguard as a way to give back to his community.

In addition, Jack is the Founder of the Central Coast Watermen, an academy that educates and develops youngsters on ocean safety and competency. In 2024 Jack was nominated for Ride Of The Year at the Maverick’s Awards and was featured in the HBO series 100 Foot Wave on HBO.

Renae Jackson has been an Ocean Lifeguard for Huntington State Beach for over ten years and is an Ocean Lifeguard Specialist (full time lifeguard) for LA County Fire where she has worked for 7 years

In addition to her Lifeguard credentials, Renae has two undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Exercise Science as well as two Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Exercise Science. Renae was also a Team USA athlete for 5 years where she competed in World Championships, and Pan-American games. She narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympics by 1 spot with a third place result at the US Olympic Trials. Renae has also represented LA County Fire at multiple world surf lifesaving competitions and last year was the #1 ranked lifeguard at surf lifesaving regionals in California and this year is ranked #3 nationally. 

Renae recently turned her attention to Triathlon and competed in the Ventura County Triathlon, where she was the first place woman (It was her very first Triathlon, held in High-wind storm conditions).  Additionally, Renae is the visionary race director of the California Gold Surf Endurance race - A famously difficult 28 mile multi-Discipline race held in Huntington and Newport Beach. 

As an ambassador for Standard Issue, Renae provides unmatched technical critiques while advocating for the needs of professional Ocean LifeGuards.
